Every summer, the skies above Cannes come alive with the spectacular Festival International d'Art Pyrotechnique – one of the world’s most prestigious fireworks competitions.
From July to August 2026, six of the world’s best pyrotechnic companies will compete in a dazzling display of light, music, and rhythm. Each show lasts around 25 minutes, creating a breathtaking performance that lights up the Bay of Cannes.
The fireworks are launched from barges anchored in the bay, directly in front of the iconic Hotel Carlton on La Croisette – the best spot to experience the spectacle.
Be sure to arrive early if you want a seat on the famous blue chairs, as crowds gather up to two hours before the start.
