Cannes Fireworks Festival - Festival International d'Art Pyrotechnique

Every summer, some of the world's foremost pyrotechnicians compete in an international championship, Festival International d'Art Pyrotechnique
In July and August you can enjoy the competition, which for many will be a memory of life - a unique marriage between music, sound effects, and fireworks.
In total, six professional fireworks companies compete during six evenings.
Innovation, rich aesthetics, stage setting, synchronization, rhythm…so many criteria considered by the jury to evaluate each of the multicoloured musical frescos in the competition.

Each fireworks start at 22:00 and should last at least 25 minutes. The launch is done from barges that are anchored out in the bay about 400 from the beach along Boulevard de La Croisette and about 115 m from each other. The central is just in front of Hotel Carlton. This is also the best place to experience the show.
Be prepared for a lot of spectators so if you want a seat on one of the blue chairs you have to be out in good time, preferably two hours before the show starts.
